Concrete Specifications
Concrete slabs for new buildings are laid according to Australian standards.
These guidelines specify a 10 mm tolerance in any given room, and a 20 mm tolerance across the entire building footprint.
Concrete slabs can have heights that exceed the tolerances for using vinyls, timber laminates, vinyls or porcelain tiles. To prepare the slab, leveling is required.
Carpet Specifications
New developments often have flooring slabs that are poured according to the carpet specification.
Carpet installation tolerances are between 8 and 12mm for 3m.
